Draw in 3D
Draw in 3D is where imagination meets hands-on creation.
Learning Tools: Child-friendly low-temperature 3D Printing Pen
Grade: K – 1
Prerequisite: No prior experience needed. Just curiosity and creativity.
Designed especially for Kindergarten and Grade 1 students, this course prepares students for future 3D printing modeling and design using a 3D printing pen, and develop foundational understanding in geometry, 3D spatial reasoning, and basic mechanics through creative 3D drawing and design. Instead of beginning with complex software or screen-based modeling, children start with drawing on paper and transform it into real 3D creations using child-friendly 3D printing pens.
Through a guided process of Draw → Build → Create, students discover how flat shapes become objects, how structures stand, how things move, and how ideas can become something they can wear, play with, and proudly bring home.
Children will explore:
- 2D to 3D Thinking: turning drawings into physical creations
- Spatial Awareness: understanding shape, volume, balance, and structure
- Basic Mechanics: understanding stability, balance, structure, and motion
- Creative Design: expressing ideas through art and making
- Engineering Through Play: testing, improving, and building with purpose
- Fine Motor Development: strengthening coordination and making skills
- Confidence Through Creation: bringing home something they designed themselves
