Description:
Students will learn block-based programming using micro:bit. Through fun, guided activities, children learn how to control lights, create patterns, and bring their imagination to life, through coding.
Learning Outcomes:
- Write block-based (Scratch like) programs to control real LED lights, music and animations
- Use coding to trigger lights with buttons, sensors, and motion
- Build confidence in hands-on hardware tinkering
- Learn foundational concepts of computational thinking
- Create interactive mini-projects to take home or showcase

Create Your First Light Art – Learn to program custom LED patterns
Button-controlled Emojis – Learn to use if/else to change expressions
Motion-activated LED Flash – Learn to use accelerometer and sensors
Auto LED Brightness with Sensors – Learn to use the light sensors to code logic
Create Your Own Mini Animation – Learn how animation works using timing, sequence, and iteration
